We are currently looking for Provisioning Specialist for our Telecommunication services department, here are the details

Ongoing Accountabilities:

  • Execute process and procedures to turn up network equipment for services within the RBS next-gen product catalog (Metro Ethernet/IPVPN).
  • Conduct testing on customer services to ensure they are operating to established standards.
  • Produce accurate data records on newly turned up customer circuits.
  • Conduct periodic reconciliation procedures to ensure provisioning data records reflect actual deployed equipment
  • Track progress of provisioning activities against project schedules.
  • Resolve roadblocks to ensure timelines can be met.
  • Must be willing to work in a tight time schedule environment.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Role Specific Competencies: Innovation/Creative Thinking, Problem Solving/Judgment, Achievement Orientation and Listening, Understanding and Responding.
  • Experience with networking, Cisco, ALU, and Juniper routers/switches/firewalls, routing, subneting and network protocols.
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of the TCP/IP protocol, specifically relating to the routing of IP packets (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, MPLS VPN, and Multicasting).
  • Experienced-based knowledge of Cisco hardware and platforms such as GSR, 6500, 7600. Software, Cisco IOS / IOX (XR).
  • Experienced-based knowledge of Juniper EX8200, MX-960, Hardware. JNCIS certification or better an asset.
  • Experienced-based knowledge of Alcatel-Lucent Service Router 7750, 7210, Hardware. TiMOS, 5620 SAM/CPAM, Software.
  • 5 years or greater experience in IP-based service operational environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, in an organized, methodical and pleasant manner.
  • Experience with test and turn up of MEF/Ethernet services (TLS, EVPL, EPL) and Internet.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
